Still More Pinterest Weekend Fun!

This is a fantastic resources for using children's literature in math. The books are categorized by math topic.

This would definitely be motivating for kiddos learning their sight words! I might have to get this for my oldest...

These are free! Carmela printed them and bound them with a ring. So handy!

Organization Drawers- source unknown
I found this on Pinterest but it only links to a photo. This is such a good idea, especially for me! I might need bigger drawers though...  ;)

These are so cute! I teach second grade so we don't take our state tests. However, these would be cute for the first day of school! Our school also has "Testing Buddies" where the primary classes adopt an intermediate class during state testing time and make motivational posters, notes, treats, etc.

Tomorrow I start school AND it's my birthday! Tuesday-Friday I will be posting some giveaways so you'll definitely want to follow my blog!

More Pinterest Weekend Fun!

Here are a few more pins I've found recently:

Reading guru Jim Trelease has kindly posted several brochures about reading that you can give to parents.
A great resource for conferences and open house/curriculum nights.

A collection of e-cards that are funny!

I love this video- it's a wonderful story about kids who think outside of the box. And the illustrations are done by Peter H. Reynolds who wrote Ish and The Dot among other books.

Oh! I almost forgot! There are also free posters that go with the video.

This is a fun idea- print out for a countdown to a special event. Plus it's pretty! :)

These are great stories for Listen to Reading on the computer. I did check it out and the font on some of the stories is italicized which might be difficult for kiddos to read but the stories are engaging.

Pinterest Weekend Fun!

Here are a few pins I've recently found with some great ideas! We LOVE Pinterest at my school!

How cute are these? She used them for Valentines and her kiddos made one for each member of the class using their class photo. I think this would be fun to have each student make and put inside or outside of your classroom. She includes a PDF of a page with four self-portrait cards.

What a cute idea! I like to have a "working snack" so why not put those snacks to work? $4.00

We are always looking for fun new ways to use those staples in our classrooms- this has several printable dice pages, ideas, and games for kids and families.

This is so cute! I usually just put the "no-name" papers on my board with magnets but this is so much cuter!

I love this idea, too! It will definitely be engaging for students. :)
